Thank you for helping with making Ubuntu and libmtp better by reporting this bug. Support for this device was added in libmtp 0.3.5. Since the latest version in the current development release is 0.3.7 I'm marking this bug as Fix Released for libmtp in Ubuntu.
If you would like to have the version of libmtp8 in Jaunty I suggest to follow the StableReleaseUpgrade procedure. However, in less than two months Ubuntu Karmic is going to be released, so you might want wait for that. The procedure is outlined at <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates>.
