My PC had 2 sata harddrives, and the linux mint 2009 live CD booted perfectly and i was able to install Linux mint on my second sata harddrive no problems, but the pc that i actually want linux on is a lil bit older and only has IDE capabilities, no sata (and some other issues) :o( so off i go and put the IDE hard drive in my (sata capable) PC, and with this harddrive connected to the PC, im getting these 'SQUASHFS error: unable to read page' etc etc i have changed the IDE mode to "compatible" and run tests everything seems fine, im under the impression that the media was not the problem anyway as it worked fine with sata harddrives any clues people???? this is driving me insane!!!!
