Public bug reported: Binary package hint: emacs22-common
To reproduce: Download and gunzip the file http://www.math.purdue.edu/~lucier/launchpad/1/_num.c.gz Loading into emacs22 with emacs _num.c takes about 4 minutes of CPU time on a 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo until the text appears. I have not .emacs file. Ubuntu 9.04 The package is emacs22-common 22.20ubuntu2.
