Public bug reported: Hi, Today I try to mount an UDF CD-ROM make with Windows on Ubuntu, I get an error. I try with Debian Lenny, and the CD-ROM can be mounted, so it's not my CD-ROM that it's bad.
I made an image with Debian and k3b, see attachment. You can mount this file on Debian Lenny with this command : mount -oloop,ro -tudf,iso9660, crapscd.img /tmp/foo This is the output of dmesg when mounting on Debian Lenny : [396711.873751] UDF-fs: Filesystem marked read-only because writing to pseudooverwrite partition is not implemented. [396711.873809] UDF-fs INFO UDF: Mounting volume 'UDF Volume', timestamp 2009/08/24 17:39 (1078) Now I try to mount on Ubuntu Hardy : [ 4270.885661] UDF-fs: No fileset found [ 4270.886529] ISOFS: Unable to identify CD-ROM format. I can mount this image with Ubuntu Jaunty, but the original CD-ROM can't be mounted on Ubuntu Jaunty (dmesg output) : (mounting image) $mount -oloop,ro -tudf,iso9660, crapscd.img /tmp/foo [ 287.198956] UDF-fs: Filesystem marked read-only because writing to pseudooverwrite partition is not implemented.
