Hi Pedro - not sure about Sam, but I keep two disks with Karmic on them for testing purposes and do full file-system backups with fsarchiver so I can test for and recover from regressions.
So its a lot of work to keep up with the various updates and while ensuring I can roll back to re-test individual parts of large updates. In this case I guess the comment might have been better put as: "Hey check the status of the Bug - Its not yet "Fix Released" - hence do not expect any change in behaviour. There is no need to confirm as there is a comment re an upstream fix coming..."
