I've been trying to narrow this down, but am having problems with that -- this is really a Heisenbug! The copied text does paste, most of the times, sometimes, however, it doesn't.
Here's a more detailed scenario that I was trying to get to work. I'm trying to build a fairly complicated formula, so have it broken down in steps, and am now trying to combine the steps together: I'm trying to copy the formula in cell J8 into the parentheses in cell K9: 1. Select J8 with the keyboard 2. hit F2 to get a cursor in the cell 3. select all the text with ctrl-shift-left arrow 4. copy with ctrl-C 5. hit return to leave the cell 6. navigate to K9 with the keyboard 7. hit F2 to get a cursor 8. use the left arrow key to get to the parentheses 9. hit Ctrl-V to paste the text 10. hit return to accept the entry Now, I was trying all possible variations on these commands (using only the mouse and the menus, etc) and nothing was working. I then deleted everything but cell J8, and tried the steps above, and, lo and behold, it worked. So then I went back to the original, and tried the same ten step ... and now it worked ... I then tried repeating the copy, with exactly the same 10 steps as above, but to another cell ... and now it doesn't work any more ... I've attached the workbook with the problem. ** Attachment added: "Helgdagar.ods" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/30744413/Helgdagar.ods -- copy of internal string can't be pasted in other cell https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/418125 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
