Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Changing volume by scrolling over the rhythmbox systray icon is highly
unintuitive because of the following reasons:

* It is nowhere visibly documented (in the software itself)
* Hovering over the systray icon displays information about the current song,
so especially on touchpads the volume can easily get accidentally changed
although the user only wanted to know info about current song.
* The volume change is not visible (i.e. no volume control pops up or similar).

Possible solutions:

1. Show visibly that the volume just got changed
2. Disable this feature (either by default or with a setting in the UI)

I'd prefer solution 2 because I don't need to change volume that often
and accidental volume changes are really irritating and confusing.
