Binary package hint: apt
The apt update in karmic must have broken the ENTER key, it gives me
"^M" whenever I hit ENTER in apt dialogs (e.g. sudo apt-get install xyz
and it prompts, then ENTER does not work). I can use CTRL-ENTER though.
