Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
1) Ubuntu 9.04 2) OpenOffice.org 1:3.1.0-5ubuntu1~jaunty1 0 http://ppa.launchpad.net jaunty/main Packages 3) Launch the selected OpenOffice module (Base, Writer) 4) Expected to launch the appropriate module (Base, Writer)--tested all of them to no avail. I am using the PPA Launchpad version of OpenOffice (not the Ubuntu repositories). However, upon upgrade to the kernel version 2.6.28-15-generic OpenOffice no longer starts. I attempted a complete reinstall from the CLI, and also from Add/Remove, and finally from Synaptic all to no avail. I will get a splash screen and then the process no longer is running. Upon reboot into kernel 2.6.28-14-generic OpenOffice again works. I understand the release I'm using is unsupported so this may not be looked at, but it could be important for the upcoming release of 9.10.
