Trying to self-educate I involved in the "investigation" of this bug, comparing the output of "NetworkManager --no-daemon" between a "working 9.04" and a "non working 9.10" connection.
I am sure that the connection established in both cases (status led on modem) but with 9.10 "Stage 5 of 5 (IP Configure Commit)" did not started. Also with 9.10 a new line appeared after the ppp connection (Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyUSB0): NetworkManager: SCPlugin-Ifupdown: devices added (path: /sys/devices/virtual/net/ppp0, iface: ppp0) I am posting both output from the same hardware and provider (EeePC 1000H, Huawei E169, Wind GR): NM_904.txt and NM_910.txt Both Ubuntu versions are full installations and updated as per today. I do not know if next info will add something, but as a 'working example' this post done from the same 9.10 configuration running just the terminal command: sudo pppd ttyUSB0 460800 nodetach defaultroute noipdefault noauth lock usepeerdns connect 'chat "" "at" "" "at" "OK" "at&f" "OK" "atz" "OK" "at+cgdcont=1,'IP','gint.b-online.gr'" OK "atdt*99***1#" CONNECT' user web password web Note: ethernet disconnected and wireless disabled in all tests Regards, George ** Attachment added: "NM_904.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/30373383/NM_904.txt -- Mobile Broadband connection not completing ( Huawei E220 ) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410634 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
