I just wanted to chip in with a +1 to Matthew. I was (am?) one of the more vocal critics of the name decision, and stated my position in very strong terms above (something i later apologised for), but I too think that the whole point of the bug report was to submit the issue to the sanction of the community council. Since the CC discussed it and reached a solution, even one that i personally don't agree with, i think the bug report should be closed.
You can't win 'em all, and i think that community is very much about accepting things even when they don't go your way. just my two cents...
