Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xdg-utils
I reported this bug in the wrong place: https://bugs.launchpad.net/do- plugins/+bug/411846 The problem is, when I click on the Trash applet [in Gnome Do], a Firefox window opens with a "trash://" URL. I expect a file manager to handle trash:// URLs, not a web browser. Robert Dyer states: "We use XdgUtils (xdg-open) to open urls. Thus, your XdgUtils is not properly configured to handle trash:// urls. Please file a bug with your distribution." I have recently noticed this in AWN as well, so it seems Robert Dyer is correct that Gnome Do is not the culprit. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 $ apt-cache policy xdg-utils xdg-utils: Installed: 1.0.2-6.1 Candidate: 1.0.2-6.1 Version table: *** 1.0.2-6.1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: xdg-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- XdgUtils is not properly configured to handle trash:// urls https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/412920 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
