I tried passing the thermal.act and thermal.psv parameters to the
kernel, but they didnt reflect on my acpi settings. This is the setting
i have now :

r...@entepc:/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM0# cat trip_points 
critical (S5):           127 C
r...@entepc:/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM0# 

this is after the reboot with the kernel parameters. I have a good
feeling that the issue is with these trip points itself. Please some
take a look at this.
