Hi Matt, many thanks for your quick answer. I have tryed to used apt in a terminal window few days ago. It didn't works properly (it return an error about mergelist). Today, "apt-get update" works well (good news is'nt it ? I didn't change anything but it works...). But I have a new error too, when I use "apt-get upgrade", the command line return this error:
Preconfiguring packages ... dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/dpkg/available' near line 25149: invalid package name (character `:' not allowed (only letters, digits and characters `-+._')) E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2) So, I think is not a bug but a wrong configuration. I will try to find the problem. best regards, Julien 2009/8/8 Matt Arnold <mattarno...@gmail.com> > try sudo apt-get update see if that helps > setting Incomplete > > ** Changed in: ubuntu > Status: New => Incomplete > > -- > updating tools crash (apt, synaptic, ...) > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410153 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > > Status in Ubuntu: Incomplete > > Bug description: > update-manager report this: > > 'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with MergeList > /var/lib/apt/lists/fr.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_jaunty_universe_binary-amd64_Packages, > E:Les listes de paquets ou le fichier « status » ne peuvent être analysés ou > lus.' > > I am sorry, it is in french.
