Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

Jaunty, version 1:0.111.9

Actual behaviour:

1. I am on workspace 2 of my desktop.
2. update-manager starts in order to alert me to updates
3. I switch to another workspace, say, workspace 6, for one of any number of
reasons
4. I notice update-manager blinking away at the bottom of my screen.
5. I click on it
6. Nothing happens. It continues to blink.
7. I cycle through all my workspaces clicking on the blinking update-manager
notice at the bottom of my screen. Eventually I get to workspace 2 and it
maximises for me and lets me update.

Desired behaviour:

At step 5, I should be able to bring up update-manager and use it in
workspace 6, or clicking on it in workspace 6 should automatically take
me to workspace 2 and bring it up. I should not have to figure out which
workspace it happened to launch in and switch to that workspace myself
before it can be used.

** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
