That´s strange. I´m quite certain there was xv when I tested the alpha 2 livecd. Just tried the alpha 3 livecd and there was no xv like Baard experienced. It appears that it´s a problem with the drivers not supporting this older chipset anymore. One strange effect I noticed, which didn´t work on older versions or distributions is that the console and splash screen were using the native 1280x800 resolution of the integrated panel.
