@Dag Stenstad Perhaps I have misunderstood previous posts regarding this issue, But I thought the xserver-no-backfill was the workaround/fix to remove the 3 second lag on unminimize.
And you say you "upgraded to Xorg from xserver-no-backfill". Do you still have the delay, using "Normal" or "Extra" Visual Effects as configured using the "Appearances Preferences" (compiz) ? If not, could you explain exactly what you have installed that is not standard Ubuntu Jaunty ?
