Tried it with a usb disk. There it worked perfectly. I've attached the html files generated by gparted. Still leaves me wondering why gparted failed on my spinpoint F1's. Maybe this version of Gparted can't cope with TB-sized drives? it wouldn't be the first time I've heard of such limitations.
