Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Judging from your description, I am going to assign this bug to the cherokee package in hopes that it will have a faster response. I am sure cherokee has been updated by now to include changeset 596, but I will wait for the package manager change the status of this bug report in case I am wrong.
