Public bug reported: My netbook running on Ubuntu v9.04 very often doesn't detect the battery it is equipped with and shows the power plug instead of the battery symbol with a power plug. Although it runs on the battery when the power is disconnected.
When running on battery power this is quite annoying since you don't know how much is left of the discharge time. This happens both when running on battery power and ac-power. When running on ac power you can't see when the battery is fully charged. The power plug that is shown instead of the correct battery symbol is attached.
