Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.17-10-generic
starting little less than a week ago kacpid is now constantly using up between 80-95% CPU causing system lag. renicing to 19 reduces the load somewhat but is obviously not the solution. running the system with "noacpi acpi=off" does not work at all. system: HP dc7600 top - 08:45:42 up 10:20, 2 users, load average: 1.21, 1.31, 1.34 Tasks: 114 total, 3 running, 111 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
