Public bug reported: lsb_release -rd:
Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch) Release: 9.10 Audio driver: AC'97 Kernel version: 2.6.31-4-generic After update, the sound output was very low, inaudible for most speakers, so I checked the volume levels, and all of them was if all on max and not muted, gnome-volume-control, alsamixer, pavumeter, so the only option was the kernel, i restarted the system and booted with 2.6.28-14-generic, and believe or not, the sound volume was fine. Another important thing, as my speaker has a sound amplifier, on full volume, i can hear the static noise, and with 2.6.31-4-generic this noise was ok same as with 2.6.28-14-generic. So the problem isn't with the sound card, or with volume control, but with the software amplifier. As i'm on 2.6.28-14-generic, i will reboot, and later post 2.6.31-4-generic system info. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Sound very low when on kernel 2.6.31-4-generic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/405109 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
