Thank you, this is nice but there's still a huge problem: --unique is not working as an okular command line switch defeating usage of this new feature; each time I use "forwardDVI" a new instance of okular is launched. I hope I can help you fixing this glitch very soon as okular has become really fast and nice for dvi. The tex stack is again fully functional in kde :)
