Is there any movement on this? Debian has a 0.9.4+cvs20090629-2 in unstable. There are a few bugs opened against it, but most releate to not being in sync with the latest binutils (a problem which the current Ubuntu package has; it needs to be rebuilt whenever binutils is uploaded to get the libbfd<version>.so path. It appears Debian now links staticly against libbfd, is this to work around this problem?).
