Thank you, Paul, for your investigations. Well, if you say this is fixed
in Jaunty I am going to close this bug as "fix released". The problem is
that we can't do anything for Ubuntu versions before 9.04. Since over
the time no one seemed to have an idea where the bug comes from, we
don't know what to backport to get this working in earlier versions.
