Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: udev

I upgraded my computer from dapper to feisty. After the update, udevd
constantly tries to load module i82365:

30824 ? S< 0:00 /sbin/udevd --daemon
30825 ? R< 0:00 /sbin/modprobe -Q i82365

(in pstree it can be seen that really udevd is the parent of modprobe).

This causes the logs filled by these:

[ 663.061826] Intel ISA PCIC probe: not found.
[ 663.091865] Intel ISA PCIC probe: not found.
[ 663.120008] Intel ISA PCIC probe: not found.
[ 663.142739] Intel ISA PCIC probe: not found.

(about 20 messages / sec)

This is a desktop PC, no PCMCIA, I don't know why it tries to load the
i82365 module.

More info on request.
