Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
I believe this is a regression, as I don't remember this behavior from the past, although I do not have a configuration to test. Running fglrx (dual head) on Jaunty. When booting with the monitors powered Xorg auto-detects that no monitors are present. When the monitors are later turned on, X is not informed, and no usable configuration is generated. Since DoNotZap is set, user cannot kill GDM. In a standard desktop configuration, no recovery is possible except for a hard reset. If X fails to detect a usable configuration, it should retry. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- XOrg fails to detect when monitors are turn on late in boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/402009 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
