Actually, F11 uses the 2.6.29 kernel series, whereas Jaunty/Gloria use 2.6.28, which obviously has less hardware support, so you can't be using the same driver versions on both installs. Seeing as you said it happens on Ubuntu too, I've forwarded it upstream, but it's unlikely they'll be able to help you either. If you want to increase your chances, paste the output of the "inxi -F" command for the various hardware information.
