Interesting. I have had both suspend-to-ram and suspend-to-disk working fine with kernel 2.6.30 using BIOS F.04.
With your suggestion, I have upgraded to BIOS F.23 and, using kernel 2.6.31-3 (i.e. rc3) neither of them function. Actually what happens is the devicekit-power/devicekit-power-daemon goes into 'D' wait state.
