Yes it is reproducible, install PdfXviewer via wine
http://www.docu-track.com/download/PDFXVwer.zip, open any pdf file, markup
text, normally in yellow, save, and then open with evince.

I send a PDF that you can open this and 2 images after opening same file in
Adobe and Evince.

PS: You could implement those markup's and note taking in evince too!!!
