Brian, Thanx for quick response. Greatly appreciate it. Fortunately, I found the fix for my problem. Although, my login was a member of the following groups: pulse, pulse-access pulse-rt but somehow "Menu-->>System->Administration->Users & Groups->Properties->User Privileges->Use audio devices" was not enabled. After enabling that I was able to get the sound on totem-gstreamer playing DVD. Hopefully this is the same issue as what was being reported in this bug report.
