Alexander, it may surely be a bug of the website, but as this other guy reports correctly [1] unfortunately there are many websites that test the user-agent for a correct visualization. I think the best choice for users in order to have a "shiretoko" that "just works" should be to ship a firefox-3.5 with a "sane" user-agent (Firefox/3.5 should be just fine.) if you think a crusade against dozens of websites is better, i'm fine with that since i can (know how to) change my user-agent, but this surely isn't a good thing for everyday users that get firefox from the repos.
just my two cents cheers --- [1] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.5/+bug/397211 -- Shiretoko doesn't show up as supporting HTML5 video tag https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/394321 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
