can you provide the file alsa-info script produces as a attachment here: run it as user in /home/user wget -O alsa-info.sh http://alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && bash ./alsa-info.sh --no-upload it will put a report in /tmp/alsa-info* using it when your sound works and when it doesnt and making files alsa-info-good.txt and alsa-info-bad.txt would be useful for comparisions.
