Seriously , this is a problem /mainly/ for keyboard layouts which have the delete key close to arrow/enter.
Since this is more of a hardware specific + user preference specific issue , even if this feature is implemented, Penalizing all the users wont be fair , there *should* be a way to turn it off. [File Manager preferences > Behavior tab] Used to hate the multiple confirmations I had to accept to delete files in Windows. BTW,As kikl says, notifications will be a bad implementation!
