** Description changed: Binary package hint: compiz Ubuntu 9.10 (also affected Jaunty) What happens: Often I have many apps open at once, on different desktops (disfferent cube faces of the desktop cube). When I open a new app, I want it to open on a specific desktop (face A), so I rotate to that desktop and click on the app's icon. Then, I go back to another cube face (face B) to look at another app, and suddenly the new app pops up on this face (face B), instead of the face where I clicked on the icon (face A). What I expect to happen: It would be seem more correct if the original face were remembered and the app opened on the face where it began loading, instead of where I happen to be when it finishes loading. + + This has been confirmed here: + + http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/20570/ + + And it has been stated that: + + "This is a compiz integration bug from what i remember KDE 3 and 4 + already do this and Xfce also. "
