Hi, Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. I just tried, but failed, to reproduce it on my machine. The step I took was to run (in a terminal) "sudo apt-get autoremove evolution abiword gnome-games" and then I examined the list of packages that would be removed. I did not see any indication that GNOME would be uninstalled.
Can you please elaborate on how exactly you ran in to the problem, as well as how you installed GNOME and those programs in the first place? Is this a standard installation from the CD distribution, or did you perhaps install GNOME manually at some earlier point?
