I have not idea why, but my updates seem to work much better now. I haven't done anything to correct the problem. I just keep trying the update even if I do get the error message, and it eventually works. Also, I don't get the error message every time I attempt to update the computer. I will just wait for the Karmic update to come out and then update to that and hope for the best. Thanks for the occasional updates on the problem.
