I've noticed that when playing a CD from KsCD , the sound volume of the music played from the CD is again played in a normal volume just like when playing the CD under windows. I've also noticed that KsCD's sound volume is, as expected, controled by KMix's sound volume level. Unfortunately, although the CD is played fine under KsCD, the WAV/MP3/etc playback sound volume under Kubuntu stays as low as it was before.
