It might be this bug that is causing the following erroneous behavior: - Update notifier comes up with 14 "bug fixes" and 6 "blocked" updates - I checked from "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" and it wanted to INSTALL 6 and UPDATE 20 - This included the new kernel version to be installed KPackageKit was unable to install the 6 blocked updates (doesn't try to install the dependencies). Thus system remains not updated. I wonder how this affects upgrades Jaunty -> Karmic for example... This leads to system not being updated properly and as such is an alarming bug (fails to apply security updates etc.). Using Kubuntu Jaunty.
