Public bug reported:

Ubuntu v9.04 installed:

My Asus eee PC 1000HG has a built in a Huawei E620 Wireless Broadband Modem.
Usually when I start the modem from the icon in the Network Connections Menu
(up right on the screen) the procedure is like following:

1) Start the connection: The applet says: Connected.
2) I try to surf the net or get my emails. No actual connection.
3) I start the connection again and now I get the connection and can do what I
wanted.
4) If the connection fails or I disconnect the connection I usually can't
connect again. It says disconnected immediately, before the green blubs on the
applet turns green. If so I need to restart the computer to have a working
broadband connection.

Sometimes the applet hangs the whole operation system and need to press
power off for some time to shutdown the computer.
