Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird

I've noticed an intermittent problem with thunderbird going full cpu. I
haven't been able to pinpoint what action is causing it. Often it
happens while I'm not actually working in thunderbird.

I compiled a debug version and have managed to take a gdb bactrace which
I will attach. Also dumped a thread list using ps. Trouble-some thread
appears to be marked as LWP 12405 in these reports. Although to me the
back-trace doesn't look very helpful.

The only extension I use are:
Enligh Lang pack 1.5.0.2
Dom inspector 1.8.0.4
TypeAheadFind 1.5.0.2
Enigmail 0.94.0

All of which are from the the ubuntu repos.

I also noticed a problem with full cpu on the Windows version of
Thunderbird before I migrated to Ubuntu. I'm using a clean profile on
Linux so I don't believe it can have been brought in from a buggy
extension.

Happy to try to gather any other info needed.

Note: couldn't attach files kept getting a "server error/value error"
message ??!!
