I vote for "turned OFF by default". I always use F2, even when I used windows. The double-click thing is extremely buggy in windows.
When you want to open a file you get stuck in rename mode and have to press esc or somewhere else to disable it. When you want to rename it, it opens up. When you want to delete it, you get stuck in rename mode and when you press delete the text is gone. Then you try to click somewhere else and because the field is empty you'll get a warning which you have to cancel. You then have to press esc to get the text back. Talk about disrupting the work-flow. -- Cannot rename by clicking on a file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48671 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
