I had a similar problem: 373921 but i solved it by cleaning the fan exhaust 
conducts. 
I'm another one of the timeless persons who can't install other kernels, but as 
a reference,  
and in case this is a hardware issue, here are my reads using Andy's parameters 
only on one kernel.
Maybe they can serve as a reference.
