"mount" is an established term, consistent with the environment. It regards specific logical action - removing partition content from filesystem. To name it "unplug" or "detach" is to confuse it with physical action of removing stick from the port.
Another, harsh but educative option is to leave term as it is. But, if user unplugs device without unmounting it, a message could be displayed: "Please unmount storage before unplugging device, you may damage your data otherwise!" As for locales, in russian one it is "присоединить/отсоединить" ("attach/detach"). "mount/unmount" would be consistent too. And with a charm. -- "Unmount" in volume right-click menu, is tech-speak and undiscoverable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/28835 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
