The problem is a) we don't really know what was broken and b) neither I nor Charles could reproduce this behaviour. It makes this bug hard to track and fix - especially that, based on your comment, it worked fine in 1.70 and there were no obvious changes that could fix it.. If there are more reports we can reopen it and try to investigate further.
