Public bug reported:
Unable to install Hardy Heron into new ayatem. Install stops and Busy
Box pops up saying Initramfs, then nothing else happens, no install.
Can't install from clean new CD of Hardy, or even from the new LIVE CD
version. Can only run on LIVE CD.
When I ttied to install from LIVE CD partioner said unable to install
SWA{ sector 5. as well. This is all new equipment.
Same thing happened on my old system plus, it seemed to forget data or
lose it. Wouldn't reinstall Hardy no matter what we did, so eventually
installed Jaunty which after a short time started doing the same weird
things and wouldn't run later either...same initramfs with Busy Box came
up on screen. When it did run Jaunty at first, it acted like I had a
bad hard drive or bad sectors not letting me run Synaptic, or use my
printer, also stuff was missing from the Systems menus. Kept acting up
until it just stopped just like Hardy did on my last system and now with
the new it won't complete the install at all.
Goes to unpack GRUB, then goes to Busy Box and Initramfs.
Now another member of the local Linuxs Group is having the same problems
as me.t and see there is a major problem but no fixes.
