I created a bug against Rosegarden on our own tracker in an attempt to underscore the importance of KMidimon to the Linux audio community. This is an important diagnostic tool that probably does not see much day to day use, but is highly valueable when called for in order to investigate a problem with MIDI, both inside and outside Rosegarden.
The Rosegarden project would like to make a formal request that Ubuntu, Debian et al. pick up the newest release of this package in order to close this dual-screen bug, solve the packaging issues reported in the Debian BTS (http://packages.qa.debian.org/k/kmidimon.html) and just generally perform a useful and worthwhile service to the community, which will be duly appreciated by all.
