If we look at various UI operations as layers of importance. In
windows, why is changing the name of a file made almost as easy as
opening a file. Is it such a priority task that we are willing to
accept the potential mistakes that can occur?

Even if we feel that the benefits of making Windows folk feel at home is
worth the potential annoyances faced by Non-windows people, then at
least there should be an option to disable this 'feature'.
