It's probable that this is either a configuration error or a GTK+ error. I've confirmed that both Transmission 1.71 and Deluge 1.1.8 operate correctly on my system using gtk+ 2.16.2, and billybigrigger is using gtk+ 2.17.2. In the Transmission crash report, it looks like the error is happening inside of gtk+ 2.17.2 when the GtkFileChooserButton is clicked.
