I am using nm-applet on Kubuntu Karmic (KDE 4.3beta2) as a workaround
for the current numerous problems of plasma-widget-network-manager. It
works great, however there is a graphical bug. After the nm-applet icon
has produced any sort of popup box (a menu, tooltip, etc) the background
of the icon is not redrawn correctly, with the background of the icon
instead becoming whatever was drawn on top of it. It remains like this
until it is restarted.
